Ordivum

Terms of Service

Last updated: 24 July 2026

These Terms govern your use of Ordivum. Account acceptance is recorded separately from health-data consent. If you do not accept these Terms, do not use the service.

1. The service and operator

Ordivum is a personal fitness ledger for recording workouts, nutrition, body progress, photos, routines, and related calculations. It is operated by Thomas William Delaney, an individual based in England, United Kingdom, trading as Ordivum.

2. Eligibility and legal choices

You must be at least 13. By accepting these Terms, you confirm the date of birth is yours and accurate. A person under 13 must not create an account. If an under-13 date is entered, we ask for confirmation before blocking that email from new registration until the declared thirteenth birthday. Existing-account sign-in is not blocked. Deliberately supplying a false date or helping someone evade the age boundary is prohibited.

Fitness entries may be special category health data. The app therefore asks for a separate, unticked explicit-consent choice before it lets a new account use the personal ledger. You can decline and sign out, or later withdraw that consent and erase the health and fitness records while keeping the basic account. See the Privacy Notice.

3. Health and safety

Ordivum records information and performs general calculations. It is not intended to diagnose or treat a condition, determine whether exercise is medically safe, prescribe rehabilitation, or replace an emergency service, dietitian, physiotherapist, doctor, or personal trainer. Suggested loads, repetitions, calorie targets, estimated records, and similar outputs are estimates based on the data entered; they are not a finding that an exercise, load, diet, or target is safe or suitable for you.

Use reasonable care, choose activity appropriate for your experience and circumstances, and stop if you feel pain, faintness, or other concerning symptoms. Seek advice from a suitably qualified professional before beginning or materially changing exercise or nutrition where your health, injury, medication, pregnancy, disability, or other circumstances may make that appropriate. Seek emergency assistance when needed; do not rely on this service in an emergency.

A programme can show alternatives already authored into that programme. Ordivum does not rank them for medical suitability. If you choose the separate programme-safety record, a factual concern stops the affected item without recommending another exercise. Recording or not recording a concern does not assess an injury or make continuing safe. The choice is optional, private and separately withdrawable; ordinary workout logging remains available without it. See the Privacy Notice.

These warnings do not remove any duty or liability that the law does not allow us to exclude.

4. Planned AI features

Paid AI is not currently available. If activated, it will be limited to eligible users aged 13+, clearly identified as AI, and subject to a separate consent, selected data context, plan limits, recent reauthentication and safety controls. A meal estimate, training review or assistant response may be incomplete, biased or wrong and is not a human coach, diagnosis, treatment, emergency service or assurance of safety.

AI will not save an entry or alter a routine without your review and confirmation. You must not use it to seek or provide instructions for self-harm, eating disorders, extreme weight change, unsafe supplements, performance-enhancing drugs, diagnosis or treatment. Teen users receive age-aware safeguards and the same conservative restrictions applied to every account. See the AI Notice.

5. Your account

Keep your password and devices secure, do not share the account, and tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorised access. You are responsible for activity you knowingly authorise. You are not responsible for activity caused by our failure to use reasonable care and skill or by a security failure for which the law makes us responsible.

6. Your content and privacy

You retain ownership of the entries and photos you add. You give Ordivum a limited licence to host, copy, process, and display that content only as needed to operate, secure, back up, export, and support the service. The licence ends when the content is deleted, subject to any lawful retention described in the Privacy Notice. You must have the right to upload your content and must not upload another person's sensitive information without authority.

7. Acceptable use

You must not:

  • access or attempt to access another person's account, records, or private files;
  • circumvent authentication, rate limits, quotas, or other security controls;
  • upload unlawful, malicious, infringing, or abusive material;
  • scrape, bulk-extract, or probe the service except through your own in-app export or authorised testing;
  • interfere with, overload, or damage the service or its providers;
  • use the service unlawfully or help another person do so.

Restrictions do not limit rights that cannot lawfully be restricted, including lawful security research conducted under the guidance on our Security page.

8. Third-party and open data

The exercise catalogue is based on the public-domain free-exercise-db dataset. Food results come from Open Food Facts.

The Open Food Facts database is available under the Open Database License (ODbL), individual database contents under the Database Contents License, and product images under CC BY-SA where stated. Its information is community-contributed, is not guaranteed complete or accurate, and can change. Check the product label and professional advice rather than relying on a food result where an allergy, medical condition, nutrient limit, or other safety issue is involved.

9. Availability, changes, and data resilience

We will provide the service with reasonable care and skill. Internet services sometimes need maintenance or experience faults, and we cannot promise uninterrupted or error-free access. We may change or discontinue a feature for security, legal, technical, or product reasons and will give reasonable notice where the change materially disadvantages users and circumstances allow.

Keep your own export of anything important. The current database plan does not include automatic provider backups; a tested backup and restore arrangement is required before public launch. This statement does not exclude statutory rights or our responsibility to use reasonable care and skill.

10. Liability and statutory rights

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, breach of statutory rights, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

Subject to that sentence, Ordivum is not responsible for a loss that was not reasonably foreseeable when you accepted these Terms, that results from your misuse or failure to follow clear safety information, or that is a business loss arising from personal consumer use. We do not exclude responsibility for losses caused by our failure to use reasonable care and skill. Your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and other applicable consumer law are not affected.

11. Suspension, termination, and deletion

You can stop using the service, export your data, or delete your account at any time in Settings. We may restrict or suspend access where reasonably necessary to investigate a security issue, protect users or providers, comply with law, or address a serious or repeated breach. Where it is safe and lawful, we will explain the reason and give you a reasonable opportunity to correct the issue or export your data before permanent termination.

For a web subscription, account deletion first asks the payment provider to stop renewal. An App Store subscription must be cancelled through Apple before account deletion can finish. Deleting an account ends access immediately; it does not by itself create a refund, and any mandatory cancellation or refund rights remain unaffected.

12. Changes to these Terms

Material changes will be explained in the service. If a change needs a new agreement or consent, you will be given an affirmative choice; silence or a pre-ticked box will not be treated as acceptance. The date above identifies this version. You may stop using and delete the account if you do not accept a required future version.

13. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you are a consumer resident elsewhere, you retain any mandatory protections and rights to use courts that applicable law gives you. Please contact us first if you can so we have an opportunity to resolve the issue.
